I have noticed that some of the Blogs I follow change their "Header photo" quite often...so I thought I would give that a try.....Boy is that frustrating...storing your photo's in a Apple software and then trying to put it on a Windows Platform, Blogger, is not the most pleasant thing..when I'm on the road I have my netbook which is powered by windows, so no problem...Bottom line I think I made a mistake switching to an  Apple, or I need to take a "timeout" and learn to use it better.....anyway..I did get a new Header Photo loaded and I will attempt to change it from time to time...

Things have been quiet on the Home Front...but up north it seems the skirmishes have started...so we are headed to KC to take care of some stuff with FIL.......while another Gate Guard gets a rest and takes a trip to visit their son...Though Ms. Casita isn't part of the Travel Package....I will take a camera and shot some photo's...do want to visit the KC Zoo...haven't done that in several years......and may take a day trip to the Flint Hills Area on a "recon mission" prior to my Fall Trip.

Not much else happening here in South Texas...weather has been unpredictable...but it sure hasn't been what most of the rest of the Country has been presented by "Mother Nature"....but then maybe she's going through a "change of life" experience...I apologize...The Devil made me say that...50 thousand comedians out of work and I pop up!!

I'm going to follow Jerry's lead and leave you with some "memories"...I hope..

    1. Thanks Lynn...getting the shot in that light is akin to a blind mouse sitting at a typewriter pecking away....eventually it will type a real word....but it does feel great when that happens...really looking forward to following your upcoming trip!!...Horst

  2. Great job on the new header photo. I've thought about changing mine, but it sort of goes with my blog title so I haven't. Really like all the other photo's, also.
I'm a Microsoft guy all the way. I know that Apple is better for photography, graphics, and such; but it took me long enough to learn the MS system while working, and I don't want to have to learn something else.
    Have fun in KC....jc

    1. Appreciate the comment on the photo's....like I commented to Lynn...sometimes you get "lucky"..I'm thinking I made a mistake with the Apple....it seems I need to change all my platforms, software to Apple products, and I don't want to do that...I just may cut my loses and go back to Microsoft...plus, I'm feeling that I don't have the patience to teach myself a new system...we'll see..have a super weekend..Horst

  5. Horst, Your header using the Tetons is magnificent. I have seen it before and still think it is my favorite Tetons photo ever. A picture like that is worth a whole trip.

  6. Rob...coming from you that means a lot!!!!...Its one of those lucky moments...but to me it was the whole adventure and this reflects one "nano second"......when I think of that trip the moment that captures it is when you took me to that look out spot.....and the next was when we stopped and snapped a few of the "mini" water fall...which you captured magnificently...hope all is well with you..where are you at?....take care my friend!!!..Horst
