I finally got all the stars lined up and I heading for Big Bend mid week…..first leg of the trip will be to Seminole Canyon State Park…my favorite stopping off point and winding down point when traveling west….and I’m getting “Bonus Points” as Barney of www.ofmadventures.blogspot.com/ will be there and then we’ll head to Big Bend…we’ve tried to meet up on previous trips, but it never worked out…its always nice to connect with another Wandering Nomad….
I still have a bunch of “stuff” to do prior to hitching up….I almost forgot that one propane tank is empty and the other one is just about there…..I’m taking down the blinds and putting up curtains…will experiment with a easy hang solution …..see how it holds up on this trip…want to get a runner to put on the floor….and a couple of other enhancements….plus…get a new laptop…on the road I carry a Aspire one D255E netbook….it has not preformed as I thought it would…my own fault…just doesn’t have the memory, processor speed, and other stuff I need, especially with trying to do photography work on the road….so I thought I would get an early Christmas present….
Well, I’ll keep this short and update again prior to launching …have a GREAT weekend…Horst send
Looking forward to some great photo's. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteComfort Castle is all hitched up tonight. Tomorrow morning it is roll up the electrical. Flip up the steps. Fire up the Truck and roll. Looking forward to Seminole Canyon and meeting you.
ReplyDeleteThe curtains are up...I won't go into details yet,,,not sure if I did the right thing...if I declare it a success..I'll show some photo's...where are your curtain photo's...can't seem to find them...I tie the wagon to the mule on Wednesday and head out...short trip ,but all trips are an adventure...can't help with your electronics, as I use the rear area as my work station, in fact did a table modification that doubled the size...since I travel alone, I use the side dinette as a bed..so I have more then enough space for all my stuff....Hi Ho Silver...AWAY..Horst
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to you sharing the trip....almost feels like I am going! (I guess I am, vicariously.)
ReplyDeleteThanks...I think it will be a lot of fun..I'm looking forward to see what the area looks like at this time of year...hope to get some photo ops....but no matter what....it will be a GREAT journey....as always....thanks for coming along...Horst
