Travel day...Landed Saturday PM.....3 Amigoes are safe, tired and hungry ....

So...I'm late again...I think the last entry we had settled down after the Taco Bell feast...got up about 0600 the next morning and headed out West towards Texas...about 240 miles or so later ended up at the same camp ground as my first day traveling east to Charleston...Shallow Creek RV Park, close to Tyler Texas...

Another Smore...sugar high

Did not even attempt  to unhitch...Boys wanted to go to the pool, which they did for a couple hours...fixed some vittles and then they played some computer games till it was lights out..oh Ya..they did have their nightly Skype call to Mom and Dad.. Saturday we got up around 0530, cleaned up , ate breakfast, and by 0635 where pulling out of the campground...

Down time...Yaaaaaa

Our miles where in the range of 350 maybe a little more,,,go on l-20, south on secondary roads to Waco...on to l-35 until Georgetown...on the toll road till Buda, Rt-123 south then l-10 and off on FM-775 till we got to the Homestead...around 1430....."Omi" was waiting with open arms, snacks and a Margarita  for her "favorite Old Man"...I think the Boys where happy to dock the "Land Yacht" for a while...

The rest of the day was spent exploring the house and other stuff....fixed some Burgers with fries for dinner, did a Skype, cleaned up and they where in Dreamland by 2130 hours....one note is that #2 Gson has taken to the piano, which he has never played...more on that tomorrow....Its now Sunday...unhitched, unpack and will detail the camper sometime next week...which smells like three wet goats lived in it for a month....

  2. Good to see you're safely home with your g-kids. I know it was a great journey for the three of you. Always nice to get back home to a margarita, though.

    1. It was a fun trip...Though I think the Boys are enjoying a regular bed and some loving from their "Omi"...The margarita was a great Homecoming gift from the Bride...safe travels...Horst
